Die-Cutting CNC (Computer Controlled)
We have several die-cutting presses all of which have their own unique benefits and offer us the ability of selecting the best machine for the project. We are able to process both high volume work, cutting millions of washers, strips or discs through to larger components in smaller quantities. There are many deciding factors as to the most suitable machine and we base this decision on type of material, thickness, volume and part dimensions.
This method of cutting uses accurate steel tooling, and each tool is produced to the appropriate design to meet the customer’s design and tolerances.

Lectra
Using our Lectra Cutting System and its CNC controls, materials can be processed without tooling by loading CAD Data or drawings and can cut various fabrics including; felt, foam, mesh, vinyl, paper, card & non wovens.
The material is automatically fed from the spreading table (or single-ply roll feeder) to the cutting area. The cutting bed is two metres wide and using the full capacity of the spreading table & feeder can continuously cut parts without halting the process.
The Lectra cutter delivers precisely cut parts consistently, with a high-volume output and excellent nesting capabilities we can offer maximum material usage enabling us to reduce costs whilst maintaining high quality standards.

Taurus/Leather cutting
Naish Felts possess the ability to cut genuine leather with state of the art machinery.
As leather is an expensive natural product, that comes on an irregular shaped hide, it is vitally important to utilise the highest possible amount of material. (Reducing costs).
To achieve this, our Taurus II, cutting machine uses high resolution cameras to photograph both the shape and defects in each hide.
The software then automatically places the cut parts in the best configuration, avoiding the defects to ensure that our customers receive high quality parts for their products.
Currently this machine is used to supply the automotive industry with leather component covers, (Armrest and headrest etc), but can be used to cut any shape for any products as required.
The dual cutting table system offers a high level of production efficiency as one hide is prepared whilst the other is being cut.
If you have a requirement for cut and or cut/sewn parts from leather, we are ready to help.

Cutting Table
This highly versatile machine enables us to produce intricate components without the need for tooling. We are able to receive drawings electronically, and produce accurate parts to customers specifications, quickly and efficiently. This capability also ensures maximum material usage, reducing waste and therefore reducing cost. The table bed is 3M x 2M enabling us to produce large designs, when required.
We can also use this facility for pre-production sampling and prototyping of new parts and adjustments to existing parts.
Laminating
We have the facility in-house to laminate any material with various strengths of adhesive tapes or to combine one product to another such as felt to foam, felt to felt and felt to rubber.
These laminated materials can be sold in roll, and sheet form, or converted into components including kiss-cut parts – see below.
Kiss-Cutting
These computer-controlled machines provides us with the ability to offer a wide range of accurately cut adhesive backed parts using a variety of textiles including felt, foam & EPDM. Many people will have encountered difficulties peeling the adhesive backing from their components, however the kiss-cut parts are very user-friendly leaving just the component on a backing sheet for easy peeling.
We produce a high number of “sticky dot” type products for a wide range of applications in everyday life. Components cut in this format have also helped to increase manual & robotic productivity in many of our customers production lines due to less time being wasted removing the backing.
With two different kiss-cut machines available each offering a variety of functions, we are able to ensure that the most suitable machine is selected depending upon the application and component shape.
Coil Cutting
The addition of a CNC Coil Cutting machine enables us to offer our customers coils and strips both plain and adhesive backed, to very tight tolerances. We are able to cut almost any flexible roll material such as felt, foam, rubber, cork, adhesive tape and even high-density para-aramide (Kevlar).
This machine can cut coils widths of just about any width from 5mm through to the full width of the roll.
